What do I hope to learn from CPL 2.0?
I know a lot of the "language" around newer internet based technology applications but haven't actually done many of them myself. I've used Facebook, Goodreads and delicious. I hope CPL 2.0 will give me additional real experience that will translate into being more comfortable in cyberspace.
What I am uncomfortable with is the privacy thing. I can google my name and come up with results of myself in posts others have written on other blogs! In this age of identity theft, cyber stalkers and kids being lured, being Internet safe should be the default rather than something the user needs to work hard at. The naive user can be very exposed without realizing it just by filling in all the blanks.

First one
I think I am one of the last at Crowfoot to get going on this! Thank you Shelley and Leslie for fielding questions so I can get it done!
I had a neat opportunity last night at a Toastmasters contest to promote the library. Since I was a contestant, during the "dull moment" I was interviewed and was asked what I do at the library. Well! where do you start .... Info desk, tracking down books ... and preventing the "ills of society" through the Parent-Child Mother Goose program!
